Just give back.

The Dayton Mall is having a "Sense"sational Holiday Celebration tonight Friday, November 18 at 6pm. There is a Holiday concert with entertainment by The Jennifer Ellis Band and special performances from members of the Sightless Children Club. WDTN's Jamie Jarosik will be reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" before Santa arrives. All children in attendance will receive a copy of the story and Braille copies are available to visually impaired children.

The FIRST 1,000 eligible shoppers to bring a minimum of $100 in receipts to their Reward Center (118 Plum St) will receive a $25 Greene Gift Card, so hurry in!! Redemption center will open at 8:30 a.m.

How it Works: The FIRST 1,000 customers to bring in their $100 in receipts will receive a $25 Greene Gift Card. ONE - $25 GC PER Person. A Photo ID is required at time of redemption. BoonshoftIf you have been wanting to visit the Boonshoft Museum then be sure to mark your calendars! The Boonshoft Museum is offering a free admission day on Tuesday, November 15! Door opens at 4pm and closes at 8pm for their FREE TUESDAY. Regular admission is $8.50 for adults and $7.50 for children, so FREE is a great deal! This museum is a super fun place for kids. There are plenty of hands on activities to entertain kids of all ages. There are exhibits where children can act as car mechanics, vets, judge and recycling workers. There are also waterplay tables, slides, planetarium and even an indoor zoo.

BoonshoftLearn the importance of recycling during a day of special activities devoted to honoring and protecting our planet at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery on Saturday Nov 12 from 9am-12pm.

Meet "Curby the Cardinal" from the Montgomery County Solid Waste District and "Heater" from the Dayton Dragons, complete special recycling-themed activities, and discover how you can save energy at home by using a FREE CFL lightbulb, courtesy of DP&L. PLUS if you wear a sports jersey from your favorite team, and you could receive a FREE recycled gift.  Quantities limited.

There is no registration required. There will be free admission for the first 300 visitors who bring 10 aluminum cans to recycle and a $3 discount off admission for the next 200 who bring 10 aluminum cans to recycle.

Lowes Build and GrowBe sure to sign up early because the clinics are filling up fast! On Saturday, November 19 Lowes is having their bi-monthly Build and Grow Clinic from 10-11am. They are building a "Santa's Sled" this month for the clinic. Online registration is required, and there is a list of stores that are participating. If a store you go to is not listed it is because all the slots have been filled.

Each participant receives a free apron, a project themed patch, goggles and a certificate upon completion of their project. Although it does specify school age- as long as your child can follow instructions and handle hammering they will allow them to come. This is always a great weekend activity. Home Depot Kids WorkshopAre you looking for something fun for the kids this weekend? Head over to Home Depot for a Kids Workshop Saturday, November 5 from 9am-noon. This month they are building a Veteran Day Photo Frame. These workshop are a fun way to teach kids do-it-yourself skills and tool safety.

Kids Workshops are FREE for children ages 5-12. The workshops are the first Saturday of each month from 9am-noon. No registration necessary. Besides their project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.
