To show appreciation to all the active duty military families the Boonshoft is part of the Blue Star Museums program. The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park and Fort Ancient have joined more than 600 museums from across the nation in offering free admission to military families throughout the summer. The Blue Star Museums program is in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and participating museums, and is scheduled to run through Labor Day 2011.
