Lowes Build and GrowBe sure to sign up early because the clinics are filling up fast! On Saturday, November 19 Lowes is having their bi-monthly Build and Grow Clinic from 10-11am. They are building a "Santa's Sled" this month for the clinic. Online registration is required, and there is a list of stores that are participating. If a store you go to is not listed it is because all the slots have been filled.

Each participant receives a free apron, a project themed patch, goggles and a certificate upon completion of their project. Although it does specify school age- as long as your child can follow instructions and handle hammering they will allow them to come. This is always a great weekend activity. The Air Force Museum is having Family Day this Saturday, October 15 from 10am-3pm. Storytime is from 11:30-1:15pm in the Early Years Gallery. There will also be hands on activities in the Modern Flight Gallery from 1:30-3pm. We love the Air Force Museum and Family Day makes it even more fun! Celebrate Halloween by learning fun aerospace principles through Halloween-themed activities! Visitors are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes, and those that participate in activities will receive goody bags with stickers, candy and aviation trading cards (while supplies last). This month, visitors have a variety of aerospace stations to choose from, including an opportunity to learn about air vortices by "shooting" at Halloween targets, a chance to learn about density by "bobbing" for apples and an activity that teaches about sound waves with screaming cups and balloons. Participants also can try their hand at Halloween Skee-Ball from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Other activities include face painting and a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt.
