Survive Before 5: Toddler Meals For Your Busy DaysI don't know about you but sometimes I feel like with my 2 year old that I stall out on breakfast, lunch and even snack options. I mean honestly, how long is it going to be before he gets tired of cereal bars for breakfast, chicken nuggets for lunch and goldfish crackers for snacktime? When Tricia from Once A Month Mom announced she was working on a toddler ecookbook I was really excited to get some new toddler meal inspiration! So let me introduce you all to: Survive Before 5: Toddler Meals For Your Busy Days. This ecookbook is a step-by-step resource for cooking meals for kids before dinner. We all know that meal times can be a challenge and hopefully this month full of meal plans can help keep the kids happy, and more importantly, mom happy.

The plan includes breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Like all Once A Month Mom menus it contains grocery lists, instructions, recipe cards and labels. There are options for 1 child, 2 children, 4 children, or 6 children. If you have a child that eats more than the indicated toddler portions you can simply count them as an additional child when cooking. Since I have a 2 year old and a 6 year old I just make enough for 4 children so we have enough for both and a little leftover. Here are the recipes that are contained in the one month plan ecookbook:

    Breakfasts
        blueberry pancakes**
        toddler french toast sticks
        fruity breakfast burritos

    Lunches
        homemade spaghetti o’s**
        individual mac & cheese cups
        corndog muffins
        homemade cheesy rice
        apple chicken nuggets
        individual pizzas**

    Snacks
       frozen fruit cups
       homemade yogurt
       peanut butter banana yogurt pops**
       peanut butter granola bars**

**Indicates NEW Once a Month Mom recipes not found on the website – 5 new recipes in total!

Here are some additional features:
-A choice of preparing for 1 child, 2 children, 4 children or 6 children.
-Grocery lists for 1 child, 2 children, 4 children or 6 children.
-Customized labels for each of your prepared items.
-Recipe cards containing photographs and some step-by-step photos as well.

We've already have made the individual pizzas and corndog muffins. I was so excited when I found out that both boys loved the corndog muffins! Little B loved them because it was cornbread (and what kid doesn't love sweet cornbread?!) and hot dogs. When I added a little ketchup and he was in toddler meal-time heaven. So if you need some meal inspiration for your toddler, and even young school age kids, be sure to check out Survive Before 5: Toddler Meals For Your Busy Days. The price of this eCookbook is $7.99. You receive all of the resources above in an easy to view (or print) format.

Buy it now! HERE (don’t forget to use the coupon code OAMM599 to get a $2 discount through July 1st, 2011).

Fazoli'sCLOSED: This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to our winners Su and Erin.
YOU CAN VIEW OUR LIST OF GIVEAWAY WINNERS HERE.

Have you been to Fazoli's lately and checked out their new menu? They just expanded their menu and Dayton was one of the first places to get the new menu. Their kids menu now has more options including; pepperoni breadsicks, pizza bowties, pasta and butter sauce and a few other items. For a more "grown-up" palette there are four new 400 calorie options- chicken mushroom alfredo, penne tuscano, pasta margherita, and three cheese baked ravioli. There are several other changes to the menu inluding the addition of coffee and various breadsticks and dippers.

I was flying solo with the boys last Tuesday so we decided to head to Fazoli's for Kid's Night. C had kid's pizza and B happily scarfed down all of his pizza bowtie dinner. They are getting fun little trays for their kids meals, but when we went they didn't have them yet. Every Tuesday starting at 5pm it's Kid's Night and kid's entrees are $1.49 with an adult entree purchase (kids' meals are typically $3.49). On Kid's Night there is usually an employee leading craft projects with the kids, C had fun coloring and making crafts while we waited for our food. Which was nice because it get me a little time to hang with just B, as he banged spoons on the table singing to himself. My boys ate all their dinner, we were all full when we left and I got a little break from cooking. And really when it comes to Fazoli's what kid doesn't love their all you can eat breadsticks?! (Looking for more kid's meal deals? Be sure to check out our list of Kids Eat Free/ Cheap list)

Now, just for my lovely readers we are giving away 2 (two) $25 gift cards so you can enjoy dinner there too.

Main entry: Tell us what you like about Fazoli's or what you would like to try if you haven't been yet. (Be sure to leave your comment on this post so that it gets counted)

Want more chances to win one of those $25 gift cards? Well, here are some more ways you can enter, just be sure to leave a additional comment for each additional entry requirement that you fulfill. Just think, the more effort that you put in the more chances you have of winning.

Lulee's LolliesCLOSED: This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to our winner Jonelle.
YOU CAN VIEW OUR LIST OF GIVEAWAY WINNERS HERE.

Have you heard about cake pops? They are the latest yummy craze, simple, cute and fun. It seems likes everyone wants in on the fun of cake pops. Even Starbucks is selling them now!

Well, I found a great local company, Lulee's Lollies that makes cake pops. I was so excited when they gave me a dozen for my birthday. They are the perfect dessert for me and my hubby after the kids are in bed, or when I just need a little treat during the day. I FOOLISHLY shared one of my Lollies with my boys the other day and now whenever I take one out they both think they need to "help me" eat it.  Understandably so though because each Lollie is a couple bites of soft, cakey goodness covered in milk or white chocolate coating. The cake inside is dark, moist and sweet while the smooth chocolate coating simply melts in your mouth. Plus they are so cute because they look like little lollipops on a stick and Lulee's Lollies even can create fun custom-made shapes. They individually wrap each Lollie so that they stay fresh and each Lollie can be kept on the counter for one week, in the fridge for 1 month and they can even be frozen for up to 4 months and saved later for a rainy day.

Lulee's Lollies

Lulee's Lollies are perfect party favors for birthday, baby showers, or even for weddings. A dozen Signature lollies are $18 and come in a variety of flavors including: carrot cake, butter pecan, red velvet, peanut butter chocolate, key lime and a few other flavors. Custom lollies are $30 for a dozen and can be made into custom designed shapes. You can check out a few of their Lollies on their site or Facebook page. Here's a tip for all of you.. during March they will be sending 25 people who have "liked" them on Facebook a free 4 Lollie Sample box. All you have to do is be the first 25 to respond when we post about it.

So, here comes the fun part for you foodies out there. Lulee's Lollies is generously offering a dozen of Signature lollies for one of our lucky readers. That's right! You can enjoy the yummy goodness of Lulee's Lollies just like I did.

Main entry: Check out their selection of Lollies and then leave us a comment telling us what you like OR would like for them to create.

Rainbow FruitI decided that this week for Things I Love Thursday I wanted to try and bring a little bit springtime here. I love spring, the beautiful weather, the reminder of the new life that it brings, St Patrick's Day, Easter, my birthday.. there are lots of great things about spring in my book.

Well, I don't know about you but one of the best ways that I've found to get my boys to try something new is all in the presentation. The more exciting or fun that it looks the more likely they are to give it a try. Little B is Hand stealing fruitpretty picky about most foods- even fruit. So I was pretty pleased that he could barely keep his hand off the plate while I was trying to take pictures. Seriously how cute is his little hand stealing a grape just as I snapped the photo?!

Our rainbow snack was a fun healthy way to brighten up snack-time. I used red strawberries, orange oranges, a yellow banana, green apple, blue blueberries, purple grapes and a few gold coins for the gold at the end of our rainbow. And as soon as I told C and his buddy from school that was over that they could come and eat it was like three little vultures converging on the Boys eatingplate with silvery forks in hand.

Honestly, I can't wait until next year when C goes to school all day and I have to pack him lunches. How exciting will it be for him to have a rainbow packed in his lunch?

Now what are you waiting for? Go and "eat the rainbow" with your kids! Need some ideas? Here are a few to help get you started.

Things I Love ThursdayRed- red apple, red peppers

Orange- goldfish crackers, melon

Yellow- yellow pepper, pineapple

Green- kiwi, snap peas

Blue- blue corn chips

Purple- blackberries, cherries

If you make a rainbow snack for your kids I'd LOVE to hear how it goes! Or better yet, post a pic on Deals For Dayton's Facebook page! I'm linking up over at The Diaper Diaries for Things I love Thursday
