The City of Beavercreek is having their annual Popcorn Festival September 10-11. Located at Dayton-Xenia Road between Fairfield and Meadow Bridge in front of Beavercreek Plaza. The festival has over 200 booths with festival foods, crafts, and all types of things made with Popcorn. The festival includes a children's area, lots of entertainment, 5k Popcorn Run and Car Show on Sunday. Be sure to check out their site for all the details.

Their shop is a cute little store in Beavercreek and it's full of deliciously, beautiful cupcakes, fun push pop cakes and elegant cakes, it's so bright and cheerful that it seems like you are in a magical cupcake land! We love them because besides having delicious cupcakes and other fun goodies they always seem to be offering fun deals for their Facebook followers. Currently they have a Living Social deal- $10 for $20 worth of cakes and cupcakes. They often remind you about any BOGO deals that they have or even what yummy flavors are out. My favorite thing they do is their little contests where all you have to dress up to score FREE cupcakes.

Have you been sucked into... I mean... found Pinterest yet? I have to seriously limit how much time I spend on that site or else my time is quickly wasted finding all the wonderful things that other people have pinned!
Maybe you've seen the pins on your friend's Facebook pages but wondered-what is Pinterest? Well, in their terms, "Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and share their favorite recipes." Umm, pretty much.. it's amazing! I love how you can see great things others have found or save ideas from other sites that you want to remember for later. Plus it gives you the ability to leave a little description of your pin. I like how it's literally a visual scrapbook of ideas, recipes and more.
Recently I decided to start a couple boards to keep all my fun ideas for Back To School lunches, freezer breakfasts and teacher gifts. Have you been using Pinterest? What types of things do you pin? This Thursday for Things I Love Thursday the thing I LOVE is Ultimate Mom's Night Out. Last Thursday, my fabulous co-host Kate and I got to spend a few hours with several local ladies for an evening of relaxing, fun, laughter and pampering. We think that mom's deserve a night out just having fun and we all enjoyed several hours at Villas at the Pointe Clubhouse doing just that. 
The evening started off with registration and all the lovely mama's that brought their nursing babies even got a Teething Bling bangle to model for the evening. There was all sorts of yummy food to munch including tasty The Submarine House sandwiches, delicious chocolate fondue strawberries and krispy treats from The Melting Pot and some cute Lulee's Lollies cakepops.
But there was so much more than just food that night- we had giveaways GALORE!! Everyone received 20 tickets and could choose what giveaways they wanted to try to win. There was everything from Boogie Wipes to Underdoodles and COSI to Jenna Claire in our giveaways so that there was something for everyone to enter. I know that over half of all the moms there that night won a prize from one of our sponsors.
There was also a fun photo booth with pictures taken by Photography by Amy McSwegin, chair massages from At Peace Massage and Wellness, manicures by Beaute Box and Satin Hands treatments by Andrea from Mary Kay. Last but not least, everyone got to take home a swag bag literally stuffed full of swag!! Thanks to all our great giveaway, food and swag sponsors. We are so thankful to have such generous sponsors at Ultimate Mom's Night Out our evening could not have happened without them.
