Where did January go? I can't believe how fast it's went and that it's almost Valentines Day already! So I've been thinking about what I could create for my sweeties. Then it hit me- who doesn't love a homemade coupon book?! I bet even my little boys will love to receive one. I remember making one for my hubby Mark when we were dating... I think I still have it somewhere in the basement. But I remember how excited he was to get it and how much fun it was too see him smile as he read each coupon.
So to our faithful friend Pinterest I went and wandered around and found a really cute one on Mommy by day..Crafter by night's blog. She has a SUPER cute printable that you can even customize with your own coupons plus you can make one for every sweetheart in your life whether big or small. PLUS it's so tiny it's only 1x2 inches! How fun would be fun to hide it in a lunchbox, jacket pocket or even car cupholder?!
Be sure to head to Mommy by day.. Crafter by night and get her free printable. Or you can even follow my on Pinterest and see what other fun and crafty things I find. Don't have an invite? Let me know and I'll send you one. Do you have a great inexpensive Valentine's Day gift that you love? Please feel free to share it with us!
So, for those of you who are like me and always looking for deals, let's talk about Halloween deals. Now, even if you don't celebrate Halloween, you can still score on many of the deals that are going on. There are a few restaurants that sell coupon books full of coupons to hand out to kids. These typically only cost $1 and have AMAZING coupons inside. Just remember to read the coupons carefully since many of them expire in a month and aren't valid until November 1. So don't "stock up" on them if you aren't going to use them, too much of a good deal can still turn into a waste if you aren't careful.
LaRosa's- $1 for 6 Free Kids Meals Coupons
McDonald's- $1 for 12 various Free Kids Items (I found these over at McDonalds by Best Buy at the Fairfiled Mall)
Frisch's- $1 for 8 Free Kids Meals Coupons
Skyline- $1 for 8 Free Kids Meals Coupons
Chipolte- dress up in a costume inspired by the family farm and receive burritos for $2 ( Think: cows, pig, chicken, tractors)
If you know of any other Halloween coupon book deals please let us know!!
Plus several different locations offer Halloween Trick or Treating. Be sure to come back next week and check out our other Halloween deals we have for you!
Okay, for all you lovers of Trader Joe's, I think you are going to like Earth Fare supermarket!
Tomorrow Wednesday, October 19 Earth Fare is having their grand opening at 8am. They are located at Cross Pointe Center, where the old Stitching Post was. While they aren't having any grand opening freebies tomorrow (see I knew what you all are were hoping) they have something better going on every week. Earth Fare has Kids Eat Free every Thursday from 4-8pm where kids eat free with an adult entree purchase of $5 or more. But here's what makes their Family Dinner Night so great, there is typically entertainment for the kids (read: clowns, balloons, crafts..etc), your kiddos get to choose what they eat and up to 6 kids can eat free with a $5 adult entree purchase! This is a great deal for those of you with larger families.
I was lucky enough to get a tour of the store today and lest you think that the parents are getting the short end of the stick with this deal there is a deli, cafe, smoothie bar, soup, salad, bakery, sushi bar and even a pizza kitchen for you to choose from!! Here are the kids options, I love how there is something for just about EVERY kid no matter how picky. (They get to choose one item from each category)

They make their kids menu even better by having a high standard for their products. And just like everything else in their store including dairy products, snacks, wine, cheese and even dog and cat food there are certain things they don't use. So you can enjoy your favorite snacks and staples without unhealthy ingredients like High Fructose Corn Syrup, Artificial Fats, Artificial Trans Fats, and Artificial Sweeteners.
- NO Artificial Fats or Trans Fats
- NO High-Fructose Corn Syrup
- NO Artificial Colors
- NO Artificial Flavors
- NO Artificial Preservatives
- NO Artificial Sweeteners

- NO Bleached or Bromated flour
There is a huge section of bulk food and you can even bring in your own containers, just be sure to stop by the front desk when you come in so that they can weigh it so you don't pay for the weight of your container (how cool is that?!?).
Be sure to sign up for their weekly freebies/coupons and deals. I've been receiving them for about 3 months now and I've received ones for Free 1lb of Chicken (or Veggie Burgers) with $10 purchase, free 1lb of grapes with any purchase and free Earth Fare brand cookies with any purchase.. those are just a few of the coupons that I've gotten already. So make sure you sign up and you can get these great deals too. They also have coupons in store, they hand out coupon booklets when you come in and there are even coupons on their site. For those of you that are like me, you can even show them your coupons on your electronic device so that you can save paper, or just copy down the PLU code for your coupons. Plus be sure to follow them on Facebook for events and promotions. Personally I'm really excited to actually grocery shop there, and I'm almost positive that we will be going to Family Dinner Nights on Thursday!

This Thursday for Things I Love Thursday the thing I LOVE is Ultimate Mom's Night Out. Last Thursday, my fabulous co-host Kate and I got to spend a few hours with several local ladies for an evening of relaxing, fun, laughter and pampering. We think that mom's deserve a night out just having fun and we all enjoyed several hours at Villas at the Pointe Clubhouse doing just that. The evening started off with registration and all the lovely mama's that brought their nursing babies even got a Teething Bling bangle to model for the evening. There was all sorts of yummy food to munch including tasty The Submarine House sandwiches, delicious chocolate fondue strawberries and krispy treats from The Melting Pot and some cute Lulee's Lollies cakepops.
But there was so much more than just food that night- we had giveaways GALORE!! Everyone received 20 tickets and could choose what giveaways they wanted to try to win. There was everything from Boogie Wipes to Underdoodles and COSI to Jenna Claire in our giveaways so that there was something for everyone to enter. I know that over half of all the moms there that night won a prize from one of our sponsors.
There was also a fun photo booth with pictures taken by Photography by Amy McSwegin, chair massages from At Peace Massage and Wellness, manicures by Beaute Box and Satin Hands treatments by Andrea from Mary Kay. Last but not least, everyone got to take home a swag bag literally stuffed full of swag!! Thanks to all our great giveaway, food and swag sponsors. We are so thankful to have such generous sponsors at Ultimate Mom's Night Out our evening could not have happened without them.
