About a month ago we went to Toys R Us and learned that they have new exciting LEGO sets called Ninjago coming out to Toys R Us on January 1, 2011. I've got to admit I was pretty impressed with these new LEGO sets. They are a LEGO game and a set all in one. They seemed a lot like spinning game behind Beyblade spinners, but the fun and creativity of LEGO. The legend tells of how the First Spinjitzu Master created the world of Ninjago using the mystical powers of Fire, Earth, Ice and Lightning. There are now four young ninjas that must be trained in the ways of Spinjitzu to help save the world from Lord Garmadon and his evil Skeleton Warriors.

You can also always subscribe to LEGO Club Magazine for a free 2 year subscription. This magazine is full of comics, games, puzzles, new products and many other fun things. Questing-Go on a quest for a geocache or letterbox that could be hidden practically anywhere.

Geocaching.com is a great resource to help you out if you are new to geocaching. Plus you can seach for local geocaches near your location. The Dayton Metroparks has some tips for finding geocaches in the Metropark area.

Letterboxing is very similar to geocaching, although each box typically has a stamp and guest book. Bring a notebook along and mark your notebook with the stamp and be sure to sign the guest book too. You can even search by location.

Pumpkin Patch- Plan a "Pumpkin Day". Take a drive to a local farm and pick your own pumpkin, or you can head to the grocery store and buy a pumpkin there also. Let each person pick their own pumpkin, and be prepared to spend some time debating the merits of one pumpkin or another. If you need some decorating ideas be sure to check out our "J" post.
